Call Waiting notifies you of an incoming call on your home phone while you are already on a call. You can place your call on hold to answer the incoming call.
Features and Benefits
Call Waiting allows you to answer a call whilst being on another call. The Call Waiting tone (2 beeps every 5 seconds) indicates that another call is waiting to be answered.

- No need to miss important calls.
Activating this Service
Call Waiting is automatically added to your home phone, however you may need to switch the feature on. See ‘Using this Service’ section.
Using this Service
To turn on Call Waiting for all calls
Lift receiver
- Dial *43# (star 43 hash)
- Listen to the announcement
- Hang up receiver.
To turn off Call Waiting for all calls
- Lift receiver
- Dial #43# (hash 43 hash)
- Listen to the announcement
- Hang up receiver.
To check if Call Waiting is on or off for all calls
- Lift receiver
- Dial *#43# (star hash 43 hash)
- Listen to the announcement
- Hang up receiver.
To answer another incoming call whilst on a call
- Press Recall
- Wait for the dial tone
- Dial 2.
To switch between calls
- Press Recall
- Wait for the dial tone
- Dial 2.
To hang up one call and return to the other
- Press Recall
- Wait for the Dial Tone
- Dial 1.
To reject the incoming call
- Press Recall
- Wait for the dial tone
- Dial 0.
Costs of Using this Service
This service is free of charge for customers with a home phone. If you are on an outgoing call, normal call charges will apply.
Does Call Waiting affect internet or facsimile connections?
Yes, it is possible that Call Waiting may affect these connections. Dialling *44 before the fax or internet number you are dialling will disable Call Waiting for that particular call.
Can I permanently turn Call Waiting off?
Yes. Simply dial #43# (star 43 hash) on your home phone to deactivate Call Waiting.
