Telephone Help - Churning

When you apply to have a service with bbphones and you currently have an active phone service with another provider we will churn your service to us. Your telephone will stay connected but your provider will change. If you wish to move your service away from us then the same applies, you will need to apply to another provider who will churn you to them.

When churning away from us please consider the following; a churn is not immediate and initially the service may be partially churned. You may still have line rental and local calls with us whilst having long distance and international with your new provider. This quickly sorts itself but it can be confusing on your billing. Your line rental is charged in advance and your calls in arrears. You will find if there is any credit owing for your line rental this comes through once you have been churned away, this will be reflected in your final bill with us. We will be notified by your provider that you have churned away from us but it is beneficial if you inform us before you churn. This allows for a smooth transition with your billing. If you have a dial up service with us please inform us if you no longer require this. If you wish to keep your dial up then you will no longer be eligible for a discount rate. We will change your rate for you upon churning.
